JACOB K. WIEBE

Jacob Wiebe was born in Russia and came to Canada with his parents in 1903. He settled in the Borden, Sask. district, where he spend most of his life as a farmer, except during 1929-37 when the family lived in Rabbit Lake, Sask. He was married to Justina Thiessen on June 15, 1924.

He accepted Christ as his Saviour in 1944, and was baptized that same year, joining the Borden (Sask.) Mennonite Brethren Church.

After his retirement in 1969 they moved to Saskatoon. He was faithful in serving the Lord with his testimony as they travelled south for the winter, and also in taking active part in the church and Sunday school .

On March 11 he passed away. Mr. Harry Schmidt and Mr. P. J. Harder officiated at the March 15 funeral in Central Mennonite Brethren Church, Saskatoon.

He was predeceased by a daughter and two baby sons, and leaves to mourn his wife, Justina; sons Art of Aberdeen, Sask., Clarence of Borden, Sask. and Leonard of Florida; Betty Ralph of Saskatoon; 13 grandchildren; and one sister.
