MRS. SARA KRAHN

Sara Krahn was born in 1881 in Russia and here married Jacob Brown. Of the 3 daughters and 6 sons which were born to them, 3 died in infancy. In 1906 she was saved and baptized, Joining the M.B. Church. She remained a faithful member until her death.

After her husband's death, she married Bernard Thiessen. In 1924 they came to Canada, settling in Manitoba and later in B.C.

In 1952 she married Isaac Krahn who passed away in 1964. Sara's daughter, Neta cared for her until her placement in Menno Hospital where she spent the remaining 5 years of her life.

Due to heart failure Sara died on April 25, 1973, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Tina Wiebe, and Mr. and Mrs. Nick Thiessen. Sara is survived by 1 sister, 6 sons, 5 daughters and their families. Funeral services were held April 30 with Rev. John Stobbe and Rev. David Nickel officiating.
