MRS. FLOSSIE JANE REIMER

Funeral services for Mrs. Flossie Jane Reimer, 21, of Buena Vista, Colo., victim of a car accident, were held at 2 p. m. Oct. 2, 1956, at the Monte Vista Assembly of God Church. Rev. Herman H. Reimer of Buena vista, assisted by Rev. Robert Chaffin of Alamosa, Colo. officiated. The chosen Scripture text was Phil. 1:21, "For to me to live is Christ, but to die is gain." Mrs. Bill Berhman, accompanied by Mrs. Joe Snyder, pianist, both of Buena vista, sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "Old Rugged Cross" and "Supper Time."

Pallbearers were Bill Berhman and Alex Swanson of Buena Vista, G. C. Fairchild of Leadville, Rev. Evan Reed and Sonny Ogden of Slidia, and Rev. Clyde Jacobson of Center. Burial was in the Monte Vista Cemetery, "In der Hoebe" and "God shall wipe away all tears" were sung at the graveside by Miss Nita Reimer, Mrs. Helen Remple and Mrs. Susie Bears, all of Aurora, Colo. Dedication of the grave was conducted by the Rev. Herman Reimer.

Mrs. Reimer, who had been locate in the San Luis Valley five days during potato harvest, was instantly killed on the morning of Sept. 28, 1956, at 6:45 a. m. in a car-truck collision near Center. She had formerly lived in Leadville, Colo. and had resided in Colorado two years.

Flossie Jane Dungan, daughter of William Earl and Gladys Maxine Moore Dungan, was born on Sept. 8, 1935, in Minco, Okla. and went to her heavenly reward on the morning of Sept. 28, 1956, at the age of 21 years and 20 days.

She attended elementry [sic] schools in Caddo County, Okla. and graduated from Hydro High School in 1952.

She was converted and baptized in the Baptist Church at North Pleasent [sic Pleasant]] Valley, Hydro, Okla. in 1947. She came to Leadville in July 1954 and was employed by the Public Service Company of Colorado until August of 1956. During this time she became interested in the work she felt the Lord had called her to, and accepted the position as teacher of the Junior Sunday School Class of the Buena Vista. She worked faithfully until her home going. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Buena Vista.

She was united in holp [sic] matrimony to William H. Reimer (son of Isaac L.and Agnes Reimer) on the evening of Jan. 27, 1956.

Her father preceded her in death on January 25, 1945. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, William Reimer; her mother, Maxine Harbuck, and [and Darrell of Soper; two sisters, Okla.; [sic phrase duplicated in original] four brothers, Duane and Ernest of Climax, Colo. and Leroy and Darrell of Sopers [sic Soper]; two sisters, Wanda and Mayrene of Soper; one half-brother, Kim, and four half-sisters, Patricia, Johnie and Veda and Jackie, all of Soper, Okla.; seven uncles and six aunts, Isaac L. and Agnes Reimer and Paul of Alamosa, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben [sic Reuben] Reimer and family of Derby, Colo., Rev. and Mrs. Herman Reimer and family of Buena Visa, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Reimer and family of Wilmington, Calif., and a host of relatives and friends.
