Sara Plett

(Coaldale, Alberta)

Sara Plett, geborene Wiebe, wurde am 11. Juni 1902 in Rußland geboren.

In ihrem 14.

November 1972 statt.

Sara Plett

(Coaldale, Alberta)

Sara Plett, née Wiebe, was born in Russia on June 11, 1902. She was called into the presence of her Creator on November 18, 1972 at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 7 days.

At age 14, she realized that she was a needy sinner and gave her life to Jesus Christ. Two years later she was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church, where she strove to glorify her Lord until the end.

On September 24, 1920, she entered into marriage with Peter J. Plett. God blessed the marriage with 5 sons and 7 daughters.

Along with her husband and four children, she came to Canada on June 12, 1929, and they resided in Manitoba until 1937. In that year the family moved to Gem, Alberta, where they resided until Father retired in 1966 and God led them to Coaldale.

She leaves behind and remains in loving memory of her five sons with their wives, seven daughters and their husbands and 30 grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Jakob Wiebe and Peter Wiebe, her stepparents, Gerhard Rogalsky and his wife, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded into glory by her husband six months ago and a daughter-in-law a little over a year ago.

It was her deepest desire that her whole family walk in the ways of the Lord. We will feel the loss, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope, because we know that she is now beholding her Savior, whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services were held at the Coaldale MB Church on November 22, 1972.
