LEWIS MEGLI

Lewis Megli was born in 1893 in Nebraska, U.S.A. He came to Linden, Alta in 1917, and married Ida Ratzlaff in 1920. Ten children were born of this union.

He accepted Christ as his Saviour in his teens and became a member of the Linden MB Church in the mid-forties.

He leaves to mourn his wife Ida, 2 sons: Sam and Allan with their families, all of Linden; 7 daughters: Mrs. Dave (Selma) Falk, Mrs. Edgar (Edna) Penner of Linden, Mrs, Wilbert (Alvina) Penner of Three Hills, Mrs. Orland (Ruby) Boettger of Lumby, B.C, Mrs. Larry (Grace) Turner, Mrs. Hugh (Faith) Engler, and Mrs. Grant (Irene) Colguhoun, all of Edmonton, Alta. A daughter predeceased him in death.

Mr. Megli died following a lengthy illness, in the hospital at Three Hills. Funeral services were held in Linden, Alta., on September 9, with Rev. David Epp and Rev. Jake Kehler officiating.
