text of obituary:

GERHARD G. BAERG

Gerhard G. Baerg was born in Alexanderkrone in Southern Russia, where he spent 12 happy years with his parents and his brothers and sisters. Then his father died, and the difficult years of the revolution, famine, and emigration followed. In 1924 his mother and the seven children left for Ontario, then moved to Dominion City, Manitoba, after two years. Here they worked diligently and God blessed the family. Gerhard accepted Christ as his Saviour and joined the Arnaud MB Church in 1936, where he enjoyed the fellowship of the believers.

In 1940 he was married, and moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1944, where he engaged in small fruit farming and participated in the work of the church there. Three sons and two daughters were born of this union, and the family appreciated the steady and consistent spiritual relationship to God which the father had, and for the good example he set them.

Left to mourn are his wife, Hilda, Rudy and Corinne, Prince Rupert, Otto and Rick in Vancouver, Sherry in Burnaby, and Barbie at home, as well as three brothers and two sisters: Rev. John G. Baerg, Virgil, Missionary Willie G. Baerg, Port Rowan, Henry G. Baerg, Winnipeg, Mrs. John Jantzen, Waldheim, and Mrs. A.J. Isaac, St. Catherines,Ont.
