— Funeral services were to be held at the Ebenfeld M. B. Church near Hillsboro on Wednesday forenoon for Clifford Eitzen, young farmer of the Hillsboro community who lost his life in a tractor accident Friday evening, June 1. According to information received here he was returning home from the field when his tractor struck a culvert along the road, overturned in the ditch and pinned him under the steering wheel. Survivors include his wife and four young children.

Hillsboro Farmer Killed by Tractor

Hillsboro, Kan. -- Funeral services were held at the Ebenfeld M. B. Church near here June 6 for Clifford Eitzen, 36-year-old farmer who was killed June 1 when his tractor overturned and pinned him underneath.

He is survived by his wife Viola; four children, Clifford Jr. 8, David 5, Marjorie 4, and Carolyn 15 months; his parents Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Eitzen; and two sisters, Mrs. Jona Balzer and Edith of the home.

Mr. Eitzen was driving home from the field,, pulling a field cutter and a load of ensilage, when the tractor struck a small culvert and overturned. There were no witnesses, and the accident was not discovered until more than an hour later.
