WILHELM H. REIMER

Wilhelm H. Reimer of Yarrow, B.C., went to be with the Lord on January 6, 1972. He was the son of Helinrich W. and Elizabeth Regehr Reimer and was born on May 26, 1894 in Steinbaoh, in the Ukraine. He spent his childhood there, and his youth in Pordenau and finally Rueckenau. Throughout World War 1 he served in the medical corps. In 1921 he married Lena Wiebe of Hueckenau. Two children were born to them, Lena in Rueckenau and Heinnich in Canada. They moved from Russia in 1924, living first in Ontario and later in Manitoba. They moved on to a farm near Steinbach and in 1933 they were baptized upon their confession of faith and received into the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church. In 1943 they moved to Yarrow and associated themselves with the Mennonite Brethren church there.

He is survived by his wife, Lena; and husband Hermann Loewen of Chilliwack; son Heinrich and family of Surrey, B.C.; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of other friends and relatives, The funeral was conducted at the Yarrow Church on January 11 with Rev. John Klassen and Rev. H. Thielmann ministering.
