MELVIN DWAINE JANTZ

Melvin Dwaine Jantz was born at McPherson, Kansas, on January 5, 1930, and departed from this life on August 21, 1955, at Phoenix, Arizona.

Melvin received his elementary education at Elm Springs school, Tampa, Kansas. He graduated from Lehigh high school in 1947. He attended Bethel College during the year of 1947-1948.

He was formerly employed at the Studebaker Pain and Body Shop of Wichita, Kansas. He was currently employed in Phoenix, Arizona.

Melvin was a congenial individual and well liked by those who knew him. He had been in failing health for a number of years due to a diabetic condition which was the cause of his death.

Survivors include his father, Simon Jantz, and his mother, Mrs. Marie Jantz, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 26, at the Emmanuel Mennonite church near Moundridge, Kansas. Rev. Garman Wedel officiated. Interment was made in the Emmanuel Church cemetery.
