DEATH TAKES ALBERT EINSTEIN AT AGE 76

Albert Einstein, noted Jewish scientist and the worlds’ [sic] best known theoretical mathematician and physicist, died at Princeton, N. J. April 18 at the age of 76.

Einstein first came into prominence when he announced his theory of relativity nearly 50 years ago. Born in Ulm, Germany of middle class Jewish parents, he was forced to flee his native country during the Hitler regime.

Einstein’s computation that a small quantity of matter could produce astronomical quantities of energy was one of the first steps toward making of the atomic bomb. He later warned, however, that the bomb could bring the ruin of mankind.
