ISAAC WIENS

Mr. Isaac Wiens of Morse, Saskatchewan passed away on June 23 in the Herbert-Morse Union Hospital.

Born in Marion, South Dakota in 1895, Mr. Wiens came to Canada in 1912 to the Ernfold district where he homesteaded and farmed until 1923. He moved into Morse following his marriage to Anna Goertzen. who predeceased him in 1959. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railways from 1923 to 1926, after which he became connected with garage work. In 1943 he bought his own garage and operated it till the present. In 1962 he was married to Martha Goertz.

Funeral Services were observed in the Herbert (Sask.) Church on June 26 with Rev. Herman Voth and Rev. John Siemens officiating. Left to mourn his passing are his wife; four children. Allan of Bourbonnais, III., Orval of Edmonton, Alta., Robert of Fostoria. Ohio, and Evelyn of Wabasca, Alta.; two step sons, Alvin and Arthur. both of Martinsville, Alta.; 14 step grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Toews of Herbert, Sask., and Mrs. Lena Berg of Los Angeles. Calif.; one brother, Henry of Flint. Mich.; two step-brothers and one step-sister.
