Obituary

Opal Rose Schwartz, daughter of Marie and Rudolf Schwartz, was born at her home near Moundridge July 3, 1922, and died Sunday evening May 17, 1931. She reached the age of 8 years, 10 months and 14 days.

As an infant she was healthy and strong. The first signs of illness were noticed by her parents about the age of 3½ years. All available doctors care was obtained. Thus her health was at times restored to a very hopeful measure. Last September Opal was able to begin her school, as a first year scholar of the Moundridge grade school. However she became ill again and had to leave her school work.] Only three months ago she was taken to the Halstead Hospital where all possible doctors and medical care was accorded to her. Remaining there about a month she was able to walk around. Everything looked hopeful for recovery. However only a few weeks ago her condition became more serious and she was called away. In her last days of illness she had longed that Jesus should make her well. And he found it well to call Opal to her heavenly home where there will be no pain nor suffering.

She leaves to mourn her early departure one brother Marvin, one sister, Ileen, her father and mother, her grandparents from both sides and one great grandfather, and many relatives and friends.

"Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
