CHILD DIES FROM BURNS

Freeman, S. D. — Dianna Faye, three and one-half year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Unruh, died on March 6 at the Yankton hospital as the result of burns.

The mother, before leaving the house, had put some potatoes on the stove to boil. Upon her return she found the kitchen full of smoke and the child calling for help. Evidently the child’s clothes had caught fire when she tried to arrange the lid on the boiling kettle. Her arms and body were badly burned and she passed away three and one-half hours after the accident.

She is survived by her parents, one sister and three brothers, one grandfather and two grandmothers.

Rev. J. J. Regier was in charge of the funeral services held on March 8 in the North Church.
