• Mrs. Edna Wedel, 55, wife of Arnold C. Wedel of West 23rd Street, North Newton, died last Friday evening at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after a four-month illness. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Bethel College Church, with Rev. Kenneth Shelly officiating. Until her illness Mrs. Wedel was employed in the kitchen at Bethel College. The former Edna Kaufman, she was a graduate of the college where she majored in home economics. She taught school for a number of years and also served as dietitian at the Colorado Springs, Colo. C.P.S. Camp. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony, of the home; her mother, Mrs. Joe P. Kaufman of Newton, five sisters and two brothers.
