MAUDE A. YODER

Mrs. Alpha B. (Maude) Yoder, 72, West Liberty, Ohio, was born on Nov. 11, 1897, in East Lynne, Mo. to Samuel J. and Ella Kauffman Plank. She passed away March 6, 1970, at 6:15 p.m. at the Latham Care Center, Bellefontaine, Ohio, aged 72 years, three months., 23 days.

On March 20, 1955 she was married to Alpha B. Yoder in West Liberty, who predeceased her on Sept. 6, 1958. Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Emmett D. (Kathryn) King, West Liberty, one niece, Mrs. Herman E. (Esther) King, West Liberty, and two nephews, Rev. Eldon King, West Liberty, and Rev. John C. King, Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Maude was for many years a telephone operator in West Liberty. She was a quiet, humble, dedicated Christian who always sought to do the right thing. She was given to prayer and to doing things for others. The gentle influence of her life will long continue in the lives of others who knew her and loved her. Her life and death bear out the truth of the Holy Scripture that says, "The memory of the just is blessed."

Maude was a member of the South Union Mennonite Church where funeral services wer held March 9, 1970, by Pastor Roy Koch, assisted by Ralph Smucker. Nephews Eldon and John King conducted the graveside committal service at the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
