text of obituary:
MRS. AARON THIESZEN
Mrs. Justina (Quiring-Kliewer) Thieszen was born in South Russia on March 16, 1874 to Cornelius and Justina (Jaeger) Quiring. At the age of three years she came to America with her parents and settled on a farm in Hamilton County, Nebraska.
She was baptized on May 23 upon her confession of faith by Elder Peter J. Friesen and received as a member into the Bethesda Mennonite Church. She remained faithful in attendance and concern until her death.
On Nov. 1, 1896 she was married to Gerhard Kliewer who died in 1912. On June 23, 1914, she married our father, Aaron Thieszen, with whom she shared life's joys and sorrows for 47 years.
After father's death in 1961, she made her home at the Henderson Nursing Home. During her four years residence in the Home, she appreciated the care she received. She had been in failing health since July. She continued her interest in the Christian faith by regular reading of the Scriptures. Even during the last few days when it was difficult for her to read she said, "A person must daily read the Word of god." Among the joys of her life were church attendance and discussions in her Sunday school class. A prayerful concern and interest in her life was the faith of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her earthly pilgrimage came to an end on Nov. 3, 1965. She reached the age of 91 years, seven months, 13 days.
She is survived by the children: Daniel and wife Marie; Marie and husband, J. H. E. Friesen; Abraham and wife, Martha; Aaron and wife, Helen; Mrs. Elizabeth Mierau; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, D. C. Quiring; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son-in-law, her parents, to [sic two] great-grandhcildren, five brothers and four sisters.
