ABRAHAM H. KOOKER SR.

Abraham H. Kooker Sr., 84, of Souderton, Pa. died Friday night, Feb. 22, at Grand view Hospital, Sellersville, where he had been a medical patient one month.

A native of West Rockhill Township, he was born to Oswin S. and Emma Hetrick Kooker on Aug. 23, 1889.

For 32 years Mr. Kooker owned and farmed a farm in the Morwood area and in 1960 moved to Telford. After the death of his wife, Katie W. Histand Kooker, in June 1966, he resided with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Kooker.

He was a member of the Rockhill Mennonite Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Allebach Kooker, in 1918; his second wife, Katie W. Histand Kooker, in 1966; two sons, a daughter, and recently a grandson, Harold Kooker.

Surviving are three sons, Abraham Kooker Jr. of Harleysville, Joseph H. of Souderton, and Richard H. of Souderton; two daughters, Ruth, wife of John Yoder of Telford, an Pauline, wife of Ray Donald Bergey of Green Lane; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a twin brother, Oswin H. Kooker of Souderton.

Funeral services were held on Feb. 16 at the Rockhill Mennonite Church with Pastor Henry L. Ruth officiating.
