Mother of Three Ministers Dies

Shipshewana, Ind. — Funeral services were held March 26 at the Shore Mennonite church for Mrs. Lizzie Miller, 83, lifelong resident of LaGrange and Elkhart counties and mother of three ministers.

On March 19 Mrs. Miller fell and fractured her hip after suffering a stroke of paralysis at her home here. She was admitted to LaGrange County Hospital, where she died March 23.

Mrs. Miller's first marriage was to Noah J. Hostetler, who died in 1933. In 1940 she was married to Rev. Josiah Miller, and he died April 16, 1958.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles Swartzendruber of Los Angeles; four sons, Rev. S. Jay Hostetler, missionary to Ghana, Africa, Rev. J. J. Hostetler of Peoria, Ill., Rev. Wm. Hostetler and Lloyd Hostetler of Goshen; two step-sons, five step-daughters, 49 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.
