ELIZABETH MILLER

Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Jacob R. and Magadalena (Kintzi) Miller, was born in North Mankato, Minn., on Dec. 26, 1882.

Elizabeth lived with her parents in Mankato until 1889 when the family moved to a farm near St. James, Minn. In 1890 they moved to a farm southwest of Butterfield, Minn. where she had since made her home.

In 1896 she was baptized upon confession of her faith and received into the membership of the Butterfield Mennonite Church by Elder Heinrich Kintzi.

Elizabeth attended the Butterfield school. She grew to womanhood and never married, helping to keep house for her brothers and sisters.

On Sept. 7, 1966, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was admitted to Bethel Hospital, Mt. Lake, being transferred to the Bethel Nursing Home on Nov. 22, where she passed away Jan. 4, 1967. She attained the age of 84 years and eight days.

She is survived by one sister, Susie Miller of Eventide Home in Mt. Lake; two brothers, Jacob and John of Butterfield; one nephew, three nieces, and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by four sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 9 a the Butterfield Mennonite Church, with Rev. Ronald Hiebner officiating.
