Iowa Minister Dies In Head-On Collision

OVER 1,300 ATTEND FUNERAL AT SUNNYSIDE CHURCH NEAR KALONA

Kalona, Iowa — An estimated 1,300 persons attended funeral services at the Sunnyside Conservative Mennonite church here Sunday afternoon, Aug. 9, for Pre. Albert S. Miller, 68, who was instantly killed in a car-truck crash Aug. 7. It was one of the largest funerals held here in recent years.

Pre. Miller, who served as a minister in the large Fairview congregation, was driving on a narrow road near the home of his son, Verton Miller, when his car collided almost head-on with a milk truck.

Surviving are his wife, Maggie, six sons, one daughter, a number of grandchildren, and a large circle of relatives and friends.
