AMMON KAUFMAN
Ammon Kaufman, 69, of Davidsville, Penn. died at 3:30 a.m. March 27, 1955 at his home. He was born Sept. 11 1895, in Conemaugh township, Somerset county, Penn., son of Noah and Catherine (Kaufman) Kaufman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Nora Thomas, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Hostettler. Surviving are his widow the former Emma Yoder, two brothers, Norman of Johnstown, Penna. and Harrison of Belleville, Penna., and a sister, Mrs. Elda Yoder, Holsopple, Penna.
He had been a member of the Kaufman Mennonite church since 1905, a S. S. teacher for many years and at the time of his death was historian for the Allegheny Conference District. A man of great concern for the welfare of the church, he will be greatly missed in the home and the church.
