— A pioneer settler in Marion county, Abraham Groening, passed away at the Salem hospital in Hillsboro on Sunday morning. He was 83 years of age. Mrs. F. G. Bartel of Newton is a daughter. Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the Hillsboro M. B. church.
