FATAL AUTO ACCIDENT AS FAMILY IS READY TO DRIVE TO CHURCH

Abbotsford, B. C. — A large gathering of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the funeral services held here for John P. Siemens, who was fatally injured Sunday, Jan. 28, as he and members of his family were getting ready to drive to church.

Mr. Siemens was knocked down and severely crushed when he cranked the car, which was in gear, and which he had previously ailed to get running with the starter. The family in the car was unable to stop the machine in time, since the tragedy happened so quickly.

After the car was lifted off Mr. Siemens, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died three hours later.
