WELL KNOWN INDIANA MINISTER CALLED AT AGE EIGHTY

Berne. Ind. — The Amish Christian church north of here paid last respects to its minister of many years, Jacob J. Schwartz, 80, at funeral services held in the church on Tuesday, Aug. 15. Pre. Milo Nussbaum officiated.

A lifelong resident of this community, Bro. Schwartz was a leading dairyman and cheese maker here. He developed a herd of pure-breed Holsteins and for many years made Swiss cheese, which he sold at his farm home. He was alos [sic] well known as a beekeeper.

Death came on Thursday, Aug. 10, after an illness which began last winter. He leaves his wife and a large family including six children, 18 grandchildren, and a number of brothers and sisters.
