. . .

— Dr. Peter D. Tieszen of Marion, S. D., widely known in South Dakota and other states for relief given to thousands of patients who came to him for treatment, recently passed away at his home at the age of80 years. His work which he had to relinquish some time ago because of old age, is now carried on by his sons. Some years ago when not able to present a diploma from a recognized training school, Dr. Tieszen was confronted by a bill introduced in the South Dakota state legislature making it impossible for him to continue his practice. Through the efforts of many friends, the bill failed to receive enough enough [sic] support to be enacted into law.
