— Peter A. Unruh, 69, retired teacher of Hesston, died unexpectedly at his home there on June 16. A native of the Goessel area, he taught in the Goessel, Ramona, Hillsboro, Whitewater, Hesston and Buhler communities before going to Kansas City, Kan., where he taught for 11 years before his retirement in 1967. Survivors include his wife, the former Clara Dyck; sons LeRoy of St. Louis and Alden of Olathe, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Lee Smith of rural Newton; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Jacob S. of Route 2, Newton. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church, with Rev. John Gaeddert officiating.
