Services for Long-Time Deacon at Mt. Lake

Mt. Lake, Minn. — Funeral services for Peter J. Voth, 77, who served for many years as a deacon of the Bethel Mennonite church, were held recently at the church.

Mr. Voth farmed near here for more than half a century, retiring and moving to Mt. Lake in 1968. he also served as a Sunday school superintendent for 15 years.

Rev. Walter Gering officiated at the funeral. Also taking part were Mr. Voth's son-in-law, Rev. Donald Fladland, and his son, Norman Voth, well-known radio musician who gave a trumpet solo and a vocal solo.
