AMOS B. CULP

Amos B. Culp died Saturday evening, January 26, at 9:00 at the home of Simon Hartzler near Wakarusa, Ind. where he had been cared for since August. He was the son of Abraham and Annie (Blosser) Culp and was born on the parental homestead in Olive township where he spent his entire life.

He is survived by a sister, Miss Phebe Culp who is also living at the Hartzler home, and a brother, Timothy Culp, at home. His parents and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hanson and an infant, Salome, preceded him in death.

Always of a quiet nature, he spoke little unless he had something to say. He was very appreciative of the care given him during his last illness, and was greatly devoted to Bro. Hartzler, who cared for him. He was bedfast for ten days, during which time he never made a compaint [sic].

He was a member of the Holdeman Mennonite congregation, Wakarusa, having been baptized by Bishop Geo. J. Lapp in December 1950.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon Jan. 29 at the Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa with Rev. Clarence Shank officiating. Burial was in the Olive cemetery.
