• Emil D. Claassen, 58, prominent farmer and stockman residing southeast of Newton, died Jan. 24 at Axtell Christian Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member. Survivors include his widow, Millicent; three daughters, Mrs. Otto Wulf and Mrs. Don Busenitz, both of Newton, and Beverly of Milwaukee, Wis.; his mother, Mrs. Rudolph R. Claassen of Newton; a brother, Rudolph C. of rural Newton, and two sisters, Mrs. Irvin Stucky of rural Newton and Mrs. Waldo Harder of Omaha, Neb.
