RUSSEL CARSON KENNEDY

Russel Carson Kennedy died July 26 at age 95. He was born in April 28, 1912 in Wapella, Sask. and went to school in Rocanville, Sask. He spent many years travelling and working across Canada. Russel married Rachel Stevenson in 1950, and they lived in Calgary, Harris, Sask., and eventually Saskatoon. There he cut ice blocks out of the South Saskatchewan River and worked in maintenance for 16 years for the provincial government. He enjoyed motorcycles, flying, and building furniture for friends and relatives. He is mourned by Rachel; children Ruth, Lois, Samuel (Vi), and Peggy (Clifford) Dirkson; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 3 siblings. The memorial service was July 30 at West Portal Church, Saskatoon.
