EVELYN E. BOETTCHER

Evelyn E. (Mrs. Len) Boettcher (Hoppe) of Vancouver died May 21 at Holy Trinity Hospital. She was born November 18,1913 in Edmonton, married Len Boettcher July 19, 1943 and then moved to Vancouver. They began attending Killarney Park Mennonite Brethren Church in 1973. In her younger years Evelyn was pianist (from age 14) in the local Moravian church. She was also choir director, Sunday school teacher, young people's leader, and church organist for 40 years. Mrs. Boettcher was confined to a wheelchair with a physical handicap as result of two strokes. She is survived by husband Len Boettcher; four sons: David and wife Hazel of Delta, B.C.; Gordon, of Ottawa, Ont.; Robert, of Vancouver; Terry and wife Olive of Burnaby, B.C.; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Marx, of the Moravian Mission Medical Clinic in Honduras, Central America. The funeral was held May 26 at Killarney Park MB Church with Rev. Jacob Quiring officiating
