RUEBEN ISAAC HARMS

Reuben Harms died Aug. 14. He was born Nov. 26,1929 in Waldheim, Sask. to Arnold and Anna Harms. When he was 4, the family moved to Glenbush, Sask. to farm. Reuben married Sarah Neufeld in 1954. He had an appreciation for nature, enjoyed camping, was a great mechanic, and worked at several dealerships. He and Sarah were founding members of North Battleford (Sask.) Mennonite Church and later attended Territorial Drive Alliance Church. Reuben enjoyed teaching Bible studies. He was forced into early retirement after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. In 2003, he moved to Waldheim Westview Pioneer Lodge and attended the local MB church. In his testimony, he shared about difficult times, but also a growing closeness to God. Predeceased by Sarah in 2001; 1 brother; 1 sister; he is mourned by daughters Debbie (Brian) Cooper, Brenda Manning, and Charlotte; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters. The funeral was Aug. 17 at Waldheim MB Church.
