ELIZABETH SIEMENS

Elizabeth Siemens died May 31. She was born Aug. 29, 1914 to Peter and Katherine Kornelson in Orenburg, Russia. The family immigrated to Canada in 1926. She accepted the Lord in her youth and was baptized July 25, 1939, joining a church in Coaldale, Alta. She attended Bible school in Coaldale. She married David Siemens Nov. 15, 1947. They settled in Matsqui, B.C. She worked hard on their dairy farm. She sewed for her family, and enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, and tending her flowerbeds. She was known for her cooking and for keeping a neat and tidy home. She was a generous, loving, caring and praying person. They travelled to Europe and spent vacations in Hawaii, Yuma, Ariz. and at the lake. Predeceased by 1 brother, she is mourned by David; daughter Sandra Krause; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 1 sister. The funeral was June 5 in South Abbotsford MB Church.
