Hillsboro Farmer Dies In Car-Truck Crash

Hillsboro, Kan. — Funeral services were conducted at the Ebenfeld M. B. Church southeast of Hillsboro on March 2 for Waldo J. Loewen, 48, who was killed instantly Feb. 28 in a car-truck head-on collision near Wichita.

At the time of the accident, Mr. Loewen was southbound in a truck containing six head of cattle. Lloyd E. The truck came to rest in the ditch.

A native of this community, he is survived by his wife, Mary, and seven children, James, Elaine and Harold, who are Tabor College students; Helen, Christine and Douglas, students in Unified District 410 schools; and a three-year-old daughter, Darlene of the home.
