ABRAHAM C. SIEBERT

Abraham C. Siebert was born to Cornelius and Helena Funk Siebert on May 22, 1905, near Henderson, Neb. He died April 24, 1991, at age 85.

On March 7, 1926, he was married to Helen Friesen. Both received Christ as their Savior while attending revival meetings. He was baptized by John F. Epp.

In 1940, they moved to Woodbury County, Iowa, to continue farming. In 1944 he felt led of God to serve on the staff of Grace Bible Institute (now Grace College of the Bible), Omaha, Neb. Upon graduating from Grace in 1951, he was ordained into the pastoral ministry. He served as pastor of several churches and retired from full-time ministry in Avon, S. D., at age 75.

In 1983 he and his wife moved to Henderson, where he resided until his death.

He was a student of the Bible and enjoyed preaching. As a pastor he was sensitive to and concerned about the needs of others.

His survivors include his wife, Helen, a resident of Henderson Nursing Home; three children and their spouses, Ruby and Bernard Thiessen of Henderson, Rosalie and Vernard Stucky of Manaus, Brazil, and Leland and Florence Siebert of Fresno, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel.
