Peter Reimer of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away Aug. 2. He was born Nov. 29, 1909 to Jacob Peter and Anna Reimer. In 1926 the family immigrated to Canada, settling on a homestead in Herbert, Sask. He met Tina Brucks in Coaldale, Alta., where they both attended Bible school and were married June 7, 1935. After three children, they moved to B.C., settling on a small farm in Yarrow. A serious accident in 1950 redirected his life and took the family to Vancouver, where they lived until retirement. After a brief period in Kamloops, B.C., they returned to the Fraser Valley, where they enjoyed the luxury of the remaining years together. Their close relationship was the springboard for their travels and the glue that sustained their love through illness. Predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother, he is mourned by his wife; son David; daughters Mary, Martha, Melita, Annie, Leona, Judi and Juanita; 23 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. The funeral was Aug. 6 in East Aldergrove MB Church, with Jay Neufeld ministering.
