MRS. MARIE FROESE

(Mrs.) Marie Froese of Winnipeg passed away on May 22. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Enns on April 15, 1910 in southern Russia. From an early age she was instructed in the Word of God, and accepted Christ at age 11. She was active in the church choir at 14 and in 1926 was baptized and received into membership of the Allianz church. On October 18, 1931 she was married to Henry Froese and their union was blessed with one son, Henry. In 1937 her husband was sent into exile by the Communists and was never heard from again. She and her son were able to emigrate to Germany during the war years, and lived there for four years before moving to Paraguay in 1947. Three years later they made their permanent home in Winnipeg. Mrs. Froese joined the South-End MB Church (now Portage Ave. MB) in Winnipeg, but a heart condition limited her involvement there.

She will be remembered for her great example in unselfish love and fervent prayer for those close to her. She is survived by her son Henry; one brother, Henry Enns; two brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
