HENRY PLETT

At the young age of 28 years, Henry Plett of Morden, Manitoba was snatched out of this life and transferred to eternity on December 27 through an automobile accident. He was born on June 18, 1949 in Altenau, Paraguay, and came to Canada with his parents in 1956. They settled in Steinbach, Man. Early in life Henry recognized his lost condition and accepted Jesus as his Saviour. After baptism he joined the Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church. He later joined the Mclvor Mennonite Brethren Church in Winnipeg.

Henry attended Columbia Bible Institute in Clearbrook, B.C. for one year in 1968. After another year in B.C. working in construction, he returned to Winnipeg and worked at A. A. DeFehr's for almost a year. A course in social work at Brandon University followed, and he was employed as a social worker in Morden. He held this position until the time of his passing. On October 6, 1973 he married June Kirk, and they enjoyed four happy years of marriage.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, June; his parents, Abram and Sara Plett of Winnipeg; three married brothers and their wives, Abe and Maria, Peter and Hedi, Walter and Lena, and a fourth brother, Willie, at home; two sisters, Tina and Mary (Mrs. Henry) Bergmann; his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kirk; and many friends.
