Three Octogenarians Called by Death

Kidron, Ohio. — Three aged members of area Mennonite churches — all octogenarians — were called away in death within a few days' time.

Funeral services for David L. Zuercher, 86, of rural Dalton were held Feb. 16 at the Salem Mennonite Church here. A retired mail carrier, barber, and farmer, he died Feb. 13 at Shady Lawn Rest home. Three sons and two daughters and their families are among the survivors.

Also on Feb. 13, Mrs. Enos Steiner, 83, died at her home near Dalton and services were held Feb. 16 at the County Line Mennonite Church. The former Sarah Lydia Basinger of Versailles, Mo., she leaves her husband and a daughter Ruth of the home, two sons, and 12 grandchildren.

Miss Fannie Sommer, 85, a lifetime resident of Wayne County, died Feb. 10 at the Wayne County Hospital, and services were held at the Kidron Mennonite Church. The only survivor is a brother Joel of Bradentown, Fla.
