Funeral services were held in the local church Jan. 9 for Richard Lee Thomas, 27.  The body was sent to Marion, S. D., his former home, for burial.

TWO CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

San Jose, Calif. — Two members of the Mennonite Brethren church here were called away in death within a short time.

John Friesen, 76, a native of Henderson, Neb., died during the morning church services on Dec. 30. He resided in the Reedley area from 1912 to 1944.

Funeral services were held in the local church Jan. 9 for Richard Lee Thomas, 27. The body was sent to Marion, S. D., his former home, for burial.
