•  Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church for Mrs. J. J. Klassen, 81, who died  Tuesday evening at the Bethesda Home after a long illness.  Rev. Levi Koehn, the pastor, officiated.  Mrs. Klassen was the former Agnes [''sic'' Aganetha] Reimer and a native of McPherson County.  Her first husband, Peter Frey died in 1933.  In 1950 she was married to J. J. Klassen, who died in 1954.  She spent her entire life in the Newton and Goessel communities except for about a year's residence in Idaho.  Surviving are three sons, Art P.  and Armand Frey of Newton, and John Frey of Route 2; six daughters, Mrs. David Buller, Mrs. Harlow Schmidt, and Mrs. Arnold Schmidt, all of rural Newton, Mrs. Frank Toews and Mrs. Richmond Schroeder, both of Newton, and Mrs. Henry Esau of Turlock, Calif.;  one brother, Henry J. Reimer of Goessel; one sister, Mrs. P. P. Quiring of Goessel; 28 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
