text of obituary:
• An auto-truck collision last Saturday morning about nine miles east of Newton on the First Street Road resulted in fatal injuries to Donna Sue Harms, eight-year-old daughter of Mrs. Edna Harms of Route 3, Newton. The girl was a passenger in the car driven by her mother when it collided with a pick-up truck coming from the opposite direction, driven by Mrs. Marguerite Bullins, 20, of Benton. The investigating officer reported that Mrs. Bullins was attempting to turn into the driveway at the Waldo D. Rempel home. Mrs. Bullins, Mrs. Harms and her daughter were all brought to Bethel Deaconess Hospital, where Donna Sue died Monday morning. She suffered fractures of the leg, jaw and skull. The two women were not seriously hurt. Funeral services for Donna Sue were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Zion Mennonite Church in Elbing with Rev. Waldo Kaufman in charge. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Elmer F. Harms and James who were fatally injured four years ago in a truck collision near Moundridge. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Harms are a sister, Patricia Ann, and the grandparents, Mrs. P. A. Waltner of Moundridge and Mr. and Mrs. L. O, Harms of Route 3, Newton.
