JOHN P. JANTZ
John P. Jantz was born May 22, 1889 at Marion, S. D. and died Dec. 11, 1961 in his home at Livingston, Calif., reaching the age of 72 years six months and 18 days. Death was caused by leukemia.
John spent his childhood years in South Dakota. He attended school there for two years. In 1902, at the age of 13, he was injured in a tragic accident which left him blind for life. In 1907 when he was 18, the family moved to Canada. In 1909 he entered a school for the blind in Gary, S. D., and attended there for six terms.
In June 1917 he was converted and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.
