Corn, Okla. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here Monday forenoon, Aug. 3, for Henry Nickel, 96, oldest resident of this community. The funeral was in charge of Rev. J. P. Kliewer, assisted by Rev. H. S. Boese.

Mr. Nickel’s passing at the Corn home for aged Friday afternoon, July 31, broke a marriage relationship which extended over a period of nearly 69 years. He and his wife, who survives, were both born in Russia and were pioneer settlers in this state, living at Colony for a number of years.

OLDEST RESIDENT OF OKLAHOMA COMMUNITY DIED AT AGE 93

Corn, Okla. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here Monday forenoon, Aug. 3, for Henry Nickel, 96, oldest resident of this community. The funeral was in charge of Rev. J. P. Kliewer, assisted by Rev. H. S. Boese.

Mr. Nickel’s passing at the Corn home for aged Friday afternoon, July 31, broke a marriage relationship which extended over a period of nearly 69 years. He and his wife, who survives, were both born in Russia and were pioneer settlers in this state, living at Colony for a number of years.
