Hutchinson, Kan. — Mrs. Katie Nisly, 89, who was among the pioneers to settle in the Amish community southwest of here, died at her home Sept. 26.
A native of Lawrence County, Pa., Mrs. Nisly had lived in the settlement here for 75 years. Survivors include two sons, one daughter, 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Emma Yutzy of Route 1, and a brother, Sam Headings of Ava, Mo.
