— Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Lorraine Avenue Church in Wichita for Herman Schmidt, 52, a former resident of Newton who died Sunday in a Wichita hospital. Mr. Schmidt had been employed as a custodian at Wichita University the past two years. Survivors include his wife, the former Frieda Androes; a son Harold and daughter Wynona, both of Wichita; his mother, Mrs. Jacob Harder of Buhler; four brothers and one sister. | |||
