— Word has been received here that Mrs. Ben Becker, 69, a former resident of Newton, died on Monday at Lawndale, Calif. She was a member of the Immanuel Mennonite Church at Downey, Calif., where the funeral will be conducted on Thursday. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Edna Mcferson [''sic'' McPherson] of California; a sister, Mrs. Dave Schroeder of Goessel; two brothers, Pete Hiebert of Goessel and Cornelius Hiebert of Elbing; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. | |||
