Long-Time Member of Illinois Church Dies

Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were conducted at the Metamora Mennonite Church on Aug. 22 for Edward J. Heiser, 77, a lifetime resident of the Metamora and Eureka vicinities. He died at a Peoria hospital Aug. 20, four days after suffering a stroke of paralysis.

Mr. Heiser was born at Allentown, and was married to Clara Reeser at Eureka on Sept. 24, 1908. He had lived here the past 20 years.

Surviving in addition to the widow are two daughters, two sons, three brothers, 12 grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
