Four Die In Crash near Montezuma, Kan.

Montezuma, Kan. — A two-car collision near here Sunday, Aug. 20, claimed the lives of a mother and three of her children and injured five other persons.

Drivers of the two cars were Raymond Leon Roach, 28, who with his seven-year-old son Michael was in critical condition in a Dodge city hospital,and Veda F.Unruh, teacher from Ingalls who was alone in one car.

Killed were Roach's wife, 26, and three of their children, ages 9, 5, and 2. A son six years of age and a daughter, one, as well as Miss Unruh were hospitalized but reported in satisfactory condition.

The collision occurred Sunday morning at a country intersection three and one-half miles north of here. The Roach home is at Minneola.
