— Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Leah Hostetler, 70, which occurred Sunday morning, June 25, at her home in Harper. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite church. Surviving are her husband, O. J. Hostetler; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Hartzler and Mrs. Elmo Kline of Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. Don Kreider of Des Plaines, Ill., Mrs. Elbert Pankratz of Arva, Colo., Mrs. Harold King of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Dr. C. B. Hostetler of Des Plaines, Ill; and two brothers, Alfred Beyler of Harper and Crist Beyler of Protection.

Mrs. Oliver (Leah) Hostetler, age 70, died at her home on Sunday morning, July 2. She was born Sept. 1, 1890 in Harper, Kan. to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beyler. She has spent her entire lifetime in this community. She was married to Oliver Hostetler on March 20, 1913.

The survivors are her husband, Oliver; five daughters, Mrs. Don (Elda) Kreider, Des Plaines, Ill., Mrs. Lloyd (Mildred) Hartzler and Mrs. Elmo (Edna) Kline, both of Elkhart, Ind.; Mrs. Harold (Avis) King, Atlanta, Ga.; and Mrs. Elbert (Opal) Pankratz, Arvada, Colo.; a son Clarence, Des Plaines, Ill.; two brothers, Alfred Beyler, Harper, and Crist Beyler, Protection, and 20 grandchildren.

One son, Donavon [''sic'' Donovan], preceded her in death in 1956.

She has been a faithful and active member of the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, serving in numerous capacities. Within the hour of her passing, as a final deed of devotion, she arranged and placed a floral offering in the church sanctuary.

Services were held in the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, Harper, in charge of James Detweiler. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

MRS. OLIVER HOSTETLER

Mrs. Oliver (Leah) Hostetler, age 70, died at her home on Sunday morning, July 2. She was born Sept. 1, 1890 in Harper, Kan. to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beyler. She has spent her entire lifetime in this community. She was married to Oliver Hostetler on March 20, 1913.
